Syntrend Creative Park is a big shopping mall for the tech-enthusiast inside all of us. The mall boats 12 floors and a futuristic inspired architecture. Global brands like Samsung, HTC and Huawei among others show their latest products and trends on the first floor, while the upper ones are dedicated to everything from kitchen appliances and cameras to anime and e-sport. The easiest way to get to Syntrend from Beimen WOW is to take a 10 minute walk to the Blue Line at Taipei Main Station, and get off at Zhongxiao Xincheng Station. The mall is five minutes north of the station, past even more electronics stores. Syntrend Creative Park is open every day from 11am to 9:30pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays to 10pm. The busiest times are afternoons and early evenings on weekends, but because of the mall's size, it hardly ever feels too crowded.

We went there looking for earphones which you can find on the 5th floor ("Listen"). It’s a good place if you are searching for more serious earphones. The lowest price we found for earphones there was NTD $799, but then the quality was good. You can try the earphones before buying them. The cashier could speak very good English so it was easy to ask for the earphones and going through the purchase, but even without it I don’t think it would be a problem. If you have a Visa Debit card there might be a risk that it doesn’t work there, so be prepared with cash. But if you rather want some cheap earphones that just “does the job”, without caring much for quality, we would recommend the shopping mall right next to Syntrend instead - the Guanghua Digital Plaza that’s full of small stores with electronics. Some of them also have so that you can try listening with them, but not everyone, and the prices and with that also the quality are much more mixed, everything from NTD $99 (if not even less) to several thousand dollars. You might also find what you are searching for outside the two shopping malls, where there are also some small stores that sells electronics.

The 6th and 7th floor of the Syntrend shopping mall, named "Game” and “Play”, have a store with only jigsaw puzzles, a store with wooden puzzles that can move, and shops full of cool figurines, arcade games and merchandise from anime, comics, games, Disney etc. On the 8th floor, there's also a Maid Café and a VR Escape Game. If you have the slightest interest in technology, then Syntrend Creative Park is a must!
